Encrypting a Database ... ?

Note: In these answers we will follow a few shorthand conventions for describing user-interface procedures. Key combinations will be presented like this: Ctrl+Alt+Delete, which means that you should press and hold down the Control key, the Alt key, and the Delete key at the same time. Menu selections will be presented like this: File->Open, which means that you should open the File menu, and then make the Open selection.

Encrypt a Database ... ?

The following steps are for encrypt or decrypt a database.

1. Close the database you are trying to encrypt or decrypt
2. Select TOOLS -> SECURITY->ENCRYPT /DECRYPT Database. A dialog box will appear.
3. Select the database to be encrypted and press the OK button. Another dialog box will appear.
4. Type the name of the database in which the encrypted database should be store as.
5. Choose Save button.
