What is telecommunications?
Telecommunication is communication by electronics, electromagnetic
and photonics means over a distance in other words the transmission of
data or information, over a distance. Telecommunications have four
objectives from a business point of view. The first objective of
telecommunications is to communicate: to exchange ideas or information
between humans or between machines. The second objective of
telecommunications is to allow organizations and individuals to
distribute and share information. The third objective of
telecommunication is to allow organizations to operate with dispersed or
distant functions as if they were centrally located. The fourth and
final objective of telecommunication is to allow organizations to share
resources. The resource may be a centrally repository of information.
